Cash Drop: The Golden Egg Hunt at Urfer Park

The Hunt

To celebrate three months of LokalDrp, the LokalDrp Team hid a golden egg somewhere within Urfer Park in Sarasota, FL. Tucked away for a hunter with patience and a sharp eye, the drop carried a reward of $30 Cash. The hunt was marked as hard difficulty, and filed under the "other" category, promising a challenge beyond the usual park stroll.

The Clues

The hint provided for this drop read like a walk through the park's wilder corners:

"Your journey begins once you've crossed the bridge. Leave the pavement behind and watch nature closely. Purple berries will let you know you're heading the right way. Soon you may notice some four-legged locals grazing nearby. Look, but don't feed. Wave, but don't pet. When pavement gives way, take the sand. At the first intersection, don't let the grazing crowd distract you. Keep moving. A windmill on your right is your next confirmation. The cows may look friendly, but the treasure isn't in their pasture. Stay with the fence and continue onward. Eventually, the trail will bend to the left. The path gets wider here, a little wilder, and slightly overgrown."

Between the bridge crossing, the purple berries, the grazing cows, and a windmill landmark, the clue asked hunters to trade pavement for sand and to keep their focus even as distractions appeared along the fence line.

The Discovery

On August 8, 2026, a LokalDrp seeker (name not made public) tracked down the golden egg at Urfer Park. A photo of the discovery was shared to mark the find. In their own words, the finder said:

"This one by far the best to find with all the hints and landmarks to search for. Got to admit I did get side tracked by the cows a bit. Thank You so much for the adventure."
