Safety & Responsible Participation
LokalDrp is designed to be a fun, safe, community-oriented experience. These guidelines help ensure that every treasure hunt is safe and respectful for participants, businesses, and the public.
Search Only Where Public Access Is Allowed
Only search for drops in areas that are open to the public. Parks, plazas, sidewalks, business districts, and community spaces are typically appropriate. If a location requires trespassing, climbing fences, or entering restricted areas, do not attempt to access it.
Never Trespass
Never enter private property without explicit permission. Respecting property boundaries is not only a legal requirement — it is a core principle of responsible treasure hunting. If a drop appears to be on private property, report it and avoid the area.
Never Enter Restricted or Dangerous Areas
Do not enter construction sites, active roadways, railways, bodies of water, cliffs, rooftops, or any area marked as restricted, hazardous, or off-limits. If a clue seems to point toward a dangerous location, do not proceed. Report the drop and contact LokalDrp.
Be Aware of Your Surroundings
Stay alert at all times. Watch for traffic, wildlife, uneven terrain, weather changes, and other environmental hazards. Do not let your phone or the hunt distract you from what is happening around you. Your safety is always more important than finding a drop.
Check Weather and Conditions
Before heading out, check the weather forecast. Avoid searching during severe weather, including thunderstorms, extreme heat, flooding, or high winds. Wet surfaces, ice, and reduced visibility can make locations dangerous. Postpone your hunt if conditions are unsafe.
Supervise Minors
If children are participating, they must be accompanied by a parent or guardian at all times. Adults are responsible for assessing the safety of each location and ensuring that children stay within safe boundaries. LokalDrp is not intended for children under 13.
Leave No Trace
Respect every location you visit. Do not damage property, move landscaping, disturb wildlife, or leave trash behind. If you move anything while searching, return it to its original position. Leave every location cleaner and more respected than you found it.
Respect Businesses and Park Rules
Follow all posted rules and regulations at parks, businesses, and public spaces. Obey hours of operation, parking restrictions, and code-of-conduct policies. If a business or property manager asks you to leave, comply respectfully and report the issue to LokalDrp.
Report Unsafe or Inappropriate Drops
If you encounter a drop that seems unsafe, inappropriate, or in violation of LokalDrp's guidelines, use the Report button on the drop detail page. Reports are reviewed by administrators and help keep the community safe for everyone.
Emergency Situations
In an emergency, call 911 or your local emergency services immediately. Do not rely on LokalDrp for emergency assistance. If you witness a crime, dangerous situation, or medical emergency, contact the appropriate authorities right away.
Personal Responsibility
Participation in any LokalDrp treasure hunt is entirely at your own risk. LokalDrp is not responsible for injuries, damages, losses, or incidents that may occur while participating. Users are solely responsible for their actions and decisions when using the platform. Always use reasonable judgment and prioritize your safety above finding a drop.
