About LokalDrp
LokalDrp turns your city into a real-world treasure hunt. Creators, businesses, and community members hide rewards — and seekers discover them using clues and hints. It's geocaching meets creator giveaways, and it's completely free.
Our Mission
LokalDrp was built to make exploration fun again. We connect creators with their communities through real-world treasure hunts — hiding gift cards, merchandise, collectibles, art, and surprise rewards in public spaces for anyone to find. Every drop is an invitation to step outside, explore your neighborhood, and experience the thrill of discovery.
We believe that the best experiences happen in the real world, not behind a screen. LokalDrp is designed to get people moving — walking through parks, visiting local businesses, and seeing their community from a new perspective. Whether you're a family looking for a weekend adventure, a business wanting to connect with customers, or an artist sharing your work, LokalDrp gives you a reason to explore.
How It Works
1. Browse Drops
Explore active drops near you. Each drop has a reward, a hint, and a general location.
2. Follow Clues
Use the hint and riddles to track down the hidden reward at the drop location.
3. Claim & Share
Find the reward, snap a photo, and share your discovery with the community.

Founded in Sarasota, Florida
LokalDrp was founded in Sarasota, Florida — a community known for its beautiful beaches, vibrant arts scene, and active outdoor culture. The concept was born from a simple idea: what if exploring your city felt like a treasure hunt? What if local businesses could attract visitors through adventure rather than advertisements?
From its Sarasota roots, LokalDrp has grown into a nationwide platform. Anyone, anywhere can create drops, hide treasures, and invite their community to explore. The same spirit of discovery that started on the Gulf Coast now extends to cities and towns across the country.
Free and Accessible to Everyone
LokalDrp is completely free. No subscriptions, no per-hunt fees, no credit card required. Seekers can browse and find drops at no cost. Droppers can create unlimited drops at no cost. We believe that community treasure hunts should be accessible to everyone, regardless of budget.
The platform is supported by optional verified badges for droppers who want to build trust with the community, and by advertising. The core experience — creating drops, finding drops, sharing discoveries — will always be free.
Available on Every Platform
LokalDrp works on any device with a web browser. Visit lokaldrp.com to start hunting immediately — no download required. For a more native experience, download the LokalDrp app on iPhone or Android. All versions are free and offer the same features.
How Businesses Can Participate
Local businesses are at the heart of LokalDrp. By creating drops, businesses can attract foot traffic, engage with new customers, and build brand awareness in their community. Hide a gift card near your storefront, place coupons in a nearby park, or create a multi-drop scavenger hunt across your business district.
Businesses can also apply for a Verified Dropper badge, which adds a verification checkmark to their profile and builds trust with Seekers. Verification is optional and does not affect the ability to create free drops.
